Our passion is to improve horse health. In 2014, Nina & Sophie Fornander founded Activ Mineral, now known as Minerals by Nordic, and has already helped thousands of horses feel better across Europe. Minerals by Nordic sells products developed by Nina Fornander with a lifetime of experience in horse nutrition, in consultation with veterinarians, osteopaths, agronomists, and not least the users - riders and drivers from all over Europe.

Founder Nina Fornander discovered the mineral concept for keeping horses resilient and healthy in a natural way with the right nutrition. Nina sells minerals in her first e-commerce store.

Nina Fornander has had a great passion for horse health throughout her life and has been deeply interested in the knowledge and research on how to help horses feel as good as possible with the right nutrition. In 2011, she sells her first e-commerce store and takes a break.

2014
During the break, Nina tries most of the supplements on the market, but none worked as well as the concept she had used in previous years. At that point, Nina and Sophie Fornander decide to start a business together and give the company and the mineral concept the name Activ Mineral.

We are missing a grain-free concentrate feed on the Swedish market and find Höveler, for which we get the agency in Sweden and still have today! We launch at the Falsterbo Horse Show and Stockholm Horse Show together with ambassador Ingrid Klimke!

The products get their first much-needed facelift with new labels and an updated logo.

We are changing our name! Activ Mineral becomes Minerals by Nordic! Activ Mineral will continue to be the name of our beloved mineral product.

Multi-entrepreneur Gunilla von Platen invests in Minerals by Nordic and becomes our first co-owner!

Cecilia Claesson joins the team with her invaluable marketing experience and later becomes a co-owner!

One of the world’s best dressage riders contacts us with an inquiry about our products, Therese Nilshagen becomes an ambassador for Minerals by Nordic! We hold a clinic together in Skåne with over 400 visitors!

We launch a new e-commerce store and continue to focus on offering the best feed for all horses, for example, through improved shipping conditions for Höveler's concentrate feed as well.
